Private Study:
I teach individual banjo and electric/acoustic guitar lessons to students of all ages and levels at my apartment in Park Slope off of the Atlantic Avenue terminal. Lessons are informative, inspiring, and most importantly…fun! I touch on several topics during lessons, including rhythm, tone, repertoire, technique, ear-training, and music theory. As far as repertoire goes, I strongly believe hands on instrument learning by ear is the best way to learn. I write out the material covered and record every lesson and email the student an mp3 following our meeting so they have something to practice with.
Video Lessons:
Do you want to learn an instrument from the comfort of your home? I teach video lessons via skype. All you need is your computer, a good internet connection, and an instrument. If you’re interested in video lessons, please specify in the “location” menu on the Lesson Request Form.
Pricing and Policies:
Lessons are $35 for 30 minutes and $70 for one hour and prepaid in packages of 4 lessons. Single lessons are $100 each.
Students are enrolled on a weekly basis. We’ll find a weekly time slot that works for both of us and do our best to stick to it every week.
Cancellations must be made prior to 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time. Once you cancel, you can reschedule the lesson for another day within 7 days of the cancelled lesson. If you decide to cancel within the 24 hour time period, you are expected to pay for the lesson. If you are late to a lesson, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time to accommodate other students.
Lessons at your home are also available. It is $25 extra per lesson for me to come to you.
Please feel free to email me about any questions or concerns! I look forward to hearing from you!
